Homend RoyalTea, developed in collaboration with the R&D Department of Homend, is an innovative tea maker which is designed considering the end users’ demands. The color and material choice in the product reflects the brand identity of Homend, that is created by DesignUM.

Homen RoyalTea, çay, bitki çayı, kahve ve mama suyunu ideal ısıda hazırlamak için, her biri suyu farklı sıcaklık derecesine getiren on/off butonu haricinde üç farklı butona sahiptir. Ürünün arayüzü basit ve kullanımı kolaydır. Butonlara bir kez kısa süreyle dokunulduğunda su doğrudan seçilen dereceye gelir. Mama suyunu dezenfekte etmek için ise butona uzun süre dokunulduğunda su önce 100 dereceye sonra istenilen dereceye gelir. Royal Tea, su istenilen sıcaklığa geldiğinde sesli uyarı sistemi ile haber verir. Bu özellik, istenildiğinde elektrik bazasının altındaki butondan iptal edilebilir.
Homend marka kimliği doğrultusunda, plastik ve inox gövdeli iki alternatif olarak tasarlandı. Projenin tüm görünüş ve mekanik parça tasarım aşamaları DesignUM bünyesinde gerçekleştirildi.
RoyalTea heats water for hot beverages such as tea, coffee and water for baby food, bringing the water to an optimal temperature for each beverage. Apart from the on/off button, there are three main buttons on the base of the product, each indicating a different temperature. The interface is very simple and easy to operate. When the buttons are pressed once for a short time, the water is heated up to the selected temperature. When preparing water for baby food on the other hand, the button is pressed for a longer time, so that the machine heats the water up to 100 °C boiling the water for sterilization and then cools it to the right temperature. When the water is ready RoyalTea notifies user by speaking, therefore saves user from the inconvenience of checking on the water. This feature can be switched off if wanted.
RoyalTea comes in two alternatives: one with inox body and the other with plastic. The design of its outer look and the mechanical parts are realized in the premises of DesignUM.
